Heavily influenced by jazz and blues, Eric infuses his music with a laid back yet emotion driven sound. The sometimes simple blues structure of his songs belies the richness of emotion that is conveyed. Not wanting his sound to go stale, Eric employs a few hip hop beats and overlays it with traditional jazz lines. The hip hop is merely a catalyst for faster rhythms. It never sounds as if the influences are competing for attention. |
